On Wednesday, August 11th from 6-8pm ET, DDP is hosting our second in a series of five virtual Community Conversations about ableism, ageism, and racism. This second discussion will focus on the experiences of and insights from growing up with a disability and will feature perspectives from the following panelists: Cathy McAdam (retired social worker, assistive technology expert, & activist), Paul Johnson IIII (human services and disability advocate), Khodr Farhat (public speaker and advocate), Hala Alawazzi (student and advocate), Owólabi Aboyade (cultural worker, artist & facilitator), and Teddy Dorsette III (filmmaker, organizer and DDP Communications Manager), and will be moderated by Dessa Cosma (DDP Executive Director). Healing by Choice! will be partnering with us on this series to offer grounding exercises throughout the series. All events in this series will be virtual and are free to attend.
